Established in 1971, the Annex Galleries is a salon style gallery which specializes in 19th, 20th, and 21st century American and European fine prints. With an inventory of over 8000 works on paper (half of which are available on this website), our focus is American color woodcut, Arts and Crafts prints, WPA prints, Modernist and Abstract Expressionist prints from the 1940s through 1960s, prints created at Atelier 17 in New York and Paris, and California prints and printmakers. We also have a selection of watercolors, oils, sculpture and photographs in inventory.
The Annex has been the representative for the Gustave Baumann estate since 1974. The gallery also represents the prints from the estates of Anders Aldrin, Fred Becker, Dorr Bothwell, Edmond Casarella, Bernard Childs, Leonard Edmondson, Boris Margo, Seong Moy, Augusta Rathbone, William S. Rice, Sueo Serisawa, James D. Smillie, and others.
The gallery also either represents or has in depth, works by Martin Barooshian, Dennis Beall, Jack Boynton, Frieda Dean, Holly Downing, David Driesbach, Sergio Gonzalez-Tornero, Hildegarde Haas, Stanley Wlliam Hayter, Misch Kohn, Joseph Leboit, Allen Lewis, Donald Shaw MacLaughlan, Byron McClintock, Ezio Martinelli, Kenneth Nack, Gabor Peterdi, Elizabeth Quandt, John Winkler, Henry Wolf, Adja Yunkers.
The Annex Galleries is a member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA).
