Biography

Painter and printmaker Martin Langford was born in England in 1970. His formal art education began with courses at Watford College where he took introductory courses in printmaking. He then entered Polytechnic South West (now Plymouth University), where he received his BA in Fine Arts, with a focus on printmaking, in 1993. This was followed by an advanced post-graduate certificate in mezzotint from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in 1995. 

Langford has exhibited at the Gallery of Graphic Work in New York; Hoorn Ashby Galleries in Nantucket and New York; Derby Fine Arts, Chicago; the Capital Arts Center in Taipei, Taiwan, 1999-2000; Taipei Print Biennial, 2000; and exhibits regularly at the Davidson Galleries in Seattle, WA as well as the Original Print Exhibition, Pall Mall, London; Royal Society Painter/Printmakers members exhibitions, London, and Wills Arts Warehouse, group shows, London. He is a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers/Royal Engravers; Southbank Printmakers collective.
