Danish/Swedish artist Albert Julius Martin Larsen was born on September 5, 1885, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Larsen studied art with Viggo Johansen at the Danish Konstakademien in Copenhagen and took numerous study trips to Germany, Austria, and Italy. He settled first in Norway where he painted for four years. In the 1920s he moved to Ystad, in Sweden, where he remained the rest of his life.
Larsen had solo exhibitions in Ystad and took part in the Swedish / Danish exhibition in Copenhagen in 1942. His works include portraits, florals, and landscapes.
Albert J. M. Larsen died in Ystad, Sweden in 1957.
