Gottfried Teuber was born in Germany in 1937 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. His linocuts have been used in graphic arts calendars since 1964 and in Illustration 63, a German periodical on book illustration. In 1969 Teuber illustrated Der Judengaul, a short novel by Hans F. Erb and six of his etchings were used in a portfolio of Franz Kafka's Ein Landarzt.
He continues to illustrate and to exhibit internationally.
