Danish printmaker and painter Gorm Eriksen was born on June 21, 1940, in Copenhagen, Denmark. His formal art training began at Den Grafisk Højskole (The Graphics School) from 1962 -'64, where he focused on lithography and graphic design, adding oil painting to his oeuvre in the late 1960s. His first major exhibition took place in 1969 at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition, and then the Artists' Autumn Exhibition. He exhibited throughout Denmark as well as in Europe and the U.S. Eriksen died on June 14, 2022, in Smidstrup, Denmark.
