While the artist Eun-Nyong Hur's birthdate isn't readily available, it's known that she graduated from the University of Maryland with her BA in Painting in 1985 and MFA in Printmaking from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991. She works in color woodcut, and often uses oil paints instead of printer's inks to create her imagery. A primary theme within her work is the fish, which she uses as an allegory for dreams.
