Little information is found on the California printmaker Frederic Wingate Corson. It's known that he was born in Massachusetts in 1898 and appears to have graduated from Amherst College in 1920 before moving to San Francisco in 1922. He exhibited at the Golden Gate Exposition in 1940 and was a member of the California Society of Etchers (now the California Society of Printmakers). Corson died in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1967.
