Printmaker Shin'ichi Kamatami was born in Hyogo Prefecture, Honshu, Japan, in 1948. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1975. He exhibited internationally, including in print biennales in Tokyo and Ljubjlana. His his work is included in the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Bridgestone Museum of Art and the British Museum in London, the Togichi Prefectural Museum of Art, the Saitama Prefecture Museum of Art, and more. He died on October 25, 2009.
