Biography

Printmaker Gert Fabritius was born to German parents in Bucharest, Romania, in 1940. He studied at the Art Academy in Cluj, Transylvania, and taught at the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium in Ostfildern-Nellingen beginning in the late 1970s. He has exhibited throughout Europe and the U.S. in both group and solo shows, and received the Special Prize for the Lovis Corinth Prize in 1997 and the Transylvanian Culture Prize in 2012.
