From a website dedicated to posters of the Belle Epoque, an excerpt from the catalogue of Noury's graphic work: "Two charming women enjoy a ride at the Tuileries in the name of charity. Each season brought several events whose proceeds went to various charities in Paris…Often they turned out to be glittering affairs with prominent public figures in attendance. This particular event is a benefit for the poor of France and Russia." (Gold p.124)
Christophe Adrien Regley (Count Regley) captures the famed poster artist's work in approximately 1/16th the size of the original. He would have employed a single-hair watercolor brush for some of the details.
