Description
A winter landscape in Canada, possibly Baie-Saint-Paul, a typical subject of the Canadian artist Graham Noble Norwell (1901 - 1967). The viewer looks upon snow-laden buildings, the snowy wilderness ringing an icy lake in the background.
As with many of Norwell's watercolors on illustration board, there is some acidity throughout (see second image); the price reflects the condition.
