Description
Thomas a' Kempis was a 14th/15th century German-Dutch canon regular, who authored The Imitation of Christ, which is often regarded as the best-known Christian devotional writing. Dietz Edzard executed a portfolio of five drypoints to commemorate the book in 1920, his imagery done in the sparse and delicate style for which he was known and which lent itself to expressions of mystical or religious ethereality.
