An uppercrust couple dressed in the latest couture chat in a sitting room, seeming to finish up an evening of entertainment, perhaps a party they’ve thrown or after returning from a show. The seated man, dressed in spats and a bow tie, smokes a cigarette and sinks into an overstuffed chair; the stylish woman standing beside him looks affectionately down upon him. A piano, a flower arrangement, an empty teacup and a pitcher are all that accompany them as the evening comes to a close.
