In his floral still life Harold Haven Brown outlined every design element in a deep blue-gray, offsetting the fantastic colors of a vibrant bouquet framed within the bounds of an oval border. Shape and color lend individuality and fantasy to each flower head - dahlias, daisies, blue cornflowers - and the exuberance of the bouquet seems to be barely contained within the printed border.
