Illustrator Isidore Firestone did this woodcut portrait of the great British born actor George Arliss (1868-1946), best known for his role on Broadway as Disraeli, later winning an Academy Award for the film reprisal of the role in 1930. This impression is dedicated by Arliss to Ted Shaw. The acidic ink has eaten through the paper in the first few letters of the dedication.
