Description
Sculptor Israel Levitan studied with Amedee Ozifant and Hans Hofmann, who suggested he take up sculpture and recommended an apprecticeship with Ossip Zadkine in Paris. After studying with Zadkine from 1950 to '51, he returned to NY and established himself as an Abstract sculptor. This is a line drawing, working on sculptural forms.
