Description
Dr. Leon Kolb (1890-1977) a Jewish scholar also taught physiology at Stanford. Kolb was a patron of Steinardt's and wrote a catalogue raisonne of his prints. He commissioned this image to use as an illustration in his novel "Moses, the Near Easterner". There is no edition noted in the raisonne indicating that only a few proofs were made.
