Description
In his 2004 catalogue of Gloeckler's prints Andrew Stevens of the Elvejem Museum in Madison comments on page 10 that "His (Gloeckler's) mastery of woodcut's potential for detail in revealed in his Social Mogul." An impression of "Social Mogul" is also used as a full page illustration of the artist's work on page 77 of Warrington Colescott's book "Progressive Printmakers / Wisconis Artist and the Print Rennaissance." Gloeckler began teaching at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1961 after having received his MS there in 1952 and taught there until his retirement.
