Description
This is a view from the roof of the artist's etching studio at 17 Gerald Road in London where she worked from circa 1962 - 1972. Margaret Kroch-Frishman was born in Saxony in 1897. She studied printmaking in Lepzig and in Berlin where she studied with Oskar Kokoshka. She moved to Brussels between 1934 and 1939 and then emigrated to Australia in 1939. In 1951 she left Australia for London where she continued to produce lithographs and etchings, exhibiting internationally. She died in London in1972.
