Description
This is the only known signed impression of the 15 known proofs of this print. This small woodengraving was used by the Limited Editions Club for the headpiece to the colophon page for De Rerum Natura (The Nature of Things) by Titus Lucretius Carus. The publication was translated into English by William Ellery Leonard and illustrated with wood-engravings by Landacre. The publication was printed by the Ward Ritchie Press.
