Description
The Konkapat River is located in southwestern Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. A tributary of the Housatonic, it runs for 22 miles. It furnished the power for mills in New Marlborough, MA, including cider and grist mills and paper mills. This woodcut depicts one of the small waterfalls, perhaps a tier of the one that has a 12 foot drop, located near Monterey, MA.
