This etching of "Madison Square Garden" (or "Park") at night was done in an edition of 40 in 1932, published by the Downtown Gallery. These early impressions were pencil titled and/or editioned and dated. In 1940 it was re-titled "City Lights" and reprinted in an edtion of around 250 by Associated American Artists (AAA) from the steelfaced plate, these impressions are not titled. It is illustrated in the 1932 Fine Prints of the Year, plate 72.
