This early color woodcut by this important aviation artist illustrates three biplanes coming back to the base, the lead plane missing its left tire, which is being held aloft by troops on the ground. This print is both dedicated to the collector but is accompanied by a note from Clayton: "Aug. 16 1929 / Dear Jack McFarlane: / You have gone to a lot of extra work making up prints of airplane photos and I appreciate it more than you know / The enclosed wood block print is an attempt to repay you for your extra work / Yours / Clayton Knight."
