Description
A rare, unique proof of sculptor Alberto Barral (born Alberto Barral-Lopez in Spain in 1906; died 1969 in Cordoba, Argentina), a colleague of Lasansky's at the Free Arts School in Villa Maria, Cordoba, Argentina. This impression, titled "Estudio Para un Retrato de A.B." (Study for a portrait of A.B.) is dedicated "A.M. Brandt y señora." The Thein/Lasansky catalogue raisonné lists a total edition of 6.
Lasansky was experimenting with color printing, double printing the plate, once in sepia (for this impression) and the second in black, slightly offset.
