"The Orange Seller" depicts a market place (El Soko) at Tetuan (Tetouan) in Morocco. In the foreground, oranges in baskets and on a mat; a man and a woman seated side by side. Int the background is a crowd of Moors and a donkey.
This is one of a series of 13 etchings McBey did in December of 1912 in Tetuan titled the 'Moroccan Set'. "The Orange Seller" is considered one of the finest etchings of the group.
