Description
This drawing by Ralph Stackpole is of artist Barbara Olmsted at age 19. It is dedicated to her and her husband at that time, Frederick Olmsted, who was known by his nickname "Rick."
Ralph Stackpole was a noted San Francisco sculptor, painter and etcher who was known for his social realism. He recommended that Mexican artist Diego Rivera do a mural for the San Francisco Stock Exchange in 1930.
