Description
"Deux Oisseaux" was originally printed by Mourlot in 1958. There were only a few impressions printed for the artist by Mourlot (Mourlot 54, not recorded by Engelberts or Hatje).
In 1983, 20 years after Braque's death, a retrospective of his work was held at the Musee d'Art Moderne de Ceret in Ceret, France. The original image was transferred to a stone by Henri Deschamps and reprinted by Mourlot as an exhibition poster. There was an editioned printing of 200 impressions, like this impression, printed on Arches paper.
