Description
This impression of "The British Museum" was trimmed, similar to Whistler, to leave a small 1/8th inch margin. It is richly inked in a brown-black ink and carefully wiped, leaving an even plate tone, very Whistlerian. 1904 was a productive year for Pennell, he did 62 etchings including a series of etchings of London before traveling to Spain and New York.
