Description
This early etching is plate 2 from Pennell's "Italian Series." Fiesole is a town and commune of the province of Florence in the Italian region of Tuscany, on a scenic hill above Florence, Italy.
Pennell only printed a few impressions of this plate (there is one in the Library of Congress - #1574) and his fingerprint is in the lower left image. Pennell writes in pencil in the lower margin: "Street in Fiesole - done in 1883 - Destroyed - Printed in Florence."
