Description
Earl Wood was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1928. He used his first camera in 1933, when photographing Niagara Falls and capturing his dad walking in the Boston Commons on a snowy day. At age 16 his photos of boats in the harbor were published in the rotogravure section of the Sunday paper of the Boston Globe and during high school he sketched and painted and went three times a week to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He spent summer vacations working as a photographer's assistant in Marblehead, Mass.
