Description
A stunning, atmospheric piece by Charles Keeler, whose landscapes and intimate city scenes are often prime examples of the aquatint technique. Tonality is the key to capturing the depth of the Vega de Granada valley in southeast Spain. In the distance, seen across the sloping, cultivated hills of Cogollos Vega, is the formidable shape of the Peñón de la Mata, one of the highest peaks along the Sierra de Cogollos mountain range.
