Description
This is a pencil signed impression, apart from the edition that was published in "Pan" in 1896. The seductress Salome, daughter of Herodias recoils as she holds the head of Saint John the Baptist on a platter. Salome had requested the head as a favor after having danced for Herod and her mother. Herod commanded it be done. She then gave the head to her mother.
