Description
A very rare proof of a print depicting abstracted figures on horseback by Margarete Walters, whose career was cut short when she was murdered at age 47 in Boston. This image, a dark, open-bite etching and aquatint, was done while the artist was studying with S.W. Hayter at Atelier 17 in Paris.
There is a good chance this work was never editoned, common at the time for the experimental efforts being done at the atelier at the time.
