This image of a fisherman's hut in Rockport, Massachusetts was published and printed by Kindred, MacLean & Company, Inc, Long Island City, NY, a print shop, as a gift for their clients for Christmas, 1939.
This work is accompanied by a label which reads in part: "It gives us pleasure to convey our Christmas greetings to you with another lithographed art print. This year we commissioned Stow Wengenroth, who chose for his subject a New England waterfront."
After a biography of Wengenroth the label continues: "The enclosed print is from the artist's original drawing on stone from which a limited number of prints have been pulled. Each print is signed by the artist. With it go our very best wishes to you for the Holiday Season of 1939."
