Description
Gene Kloss revisited some of her early drawings for subject matter for later intaglios, in this case she used etching with aquatint and some drypoint. This impression is a proof, outside the edition of 50 which is printed darker.
A hand-written note that accompanied this image states: "From a sketch made in the 1920's just west of Taos Valley. Taos was known as a sheeptown in those days. Shearing was done out in the grazing grounds and the wool brought back into town by horseback."
