This depicts a sail boat on Brodick Bay on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Stevenson lived there in the early 20th century. It was most likely painted around 1910 and given to Georg Brochner in 1929 From the collection of Danish critic and author Georg Bröchner, who wrote for the British art magazine "The Studio" in the early 20th century.
