Description
This state was published two years after the death of the poet Baudelaire, in the book "Charles Baudelaire" by Charles Asselineau. The image was done after the artist's own painting "Concert at Tuileries", or "Music at Tuileries", which included the figures of many of Manet's contemporaries in the arts. Baudelaire is pictured as a shadowed figure in a top hat, standing in conversation in front of a tree in the left side of the painting.
