Description
Many of the prints of Joan Snyder document or parallel events from her life. A miscarriage is memorialized in “FMSWNL [For My Son Who Never Lived],” a nine-color lithograph that was begun four months after a happier event, the birth of her daughter, Molly.
An impression of this image was included in the exhibition "Dancing in the Dark - Joan Snyder 1963-2010" at the Zimmerli Museum at Rutgers, curated by Marilyn Symmes.
