Description
The Spanish steps were built at the beginning of the 18th century by the architect Francesco de Sanctis and is now one of the most famous parts of Rome. The 138 steps connect the lower Spanish Piazza di Spagna with the upper Piazza Trinita dei Monti which is dominated by Trinita dei Monti church.
