Description
From the portfolio The Legendary Feast by the Fort Mason Printmakers, under the direction of Eleanor Rappe. The Fort Mason Printmakers created several themed portfolios throughout the 1970s and '80s, a project that highlighted the diversity of the San Francisco teaching facilty and art press. The Legendary Feast works with the theme of food and gathering, borrowing from history and myth to create a sense of celebration. The group of 23 artists' works is broken down into three sections, "Of Time", "Of Place", and "Of Table". "Fragment for a Mayan Pot" is from the first section.
