This impression of 'City Lights' is numbered 67/225. This impression is from "A Portfolio of 5 Prints', published by Ted Gotthelf and Rio Grande Graphics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gotthelf set the editions of his publications at 225 but there were not many buyers in the early 1950's so only 60 portfolios were released. He had the artists number them somewhat randomly, picking 60 numbers throughout the edition so that it would appear that many had been sold.
'City Lights' is a visual cacaphony of color, as if a camera lens was left open and captured the movement of light in the city at night; tail lights, headlights, street lights that merge to form linear patterns on the surface of the paper.
This impression, like many in the portfolio, is not pencil signed by Yunkers but is titled by him.
