Ulysses was the legendary Greek hero, Odysseus, who's wanderings during the Trojan War and the recovery of his kingdom are central themes of Homer‘s Odyssey. Odysseus is portrayed as a man of outstanding wisdom and shrewdness, eloquence, courage, and endurance. He accomplished the capture of Troy with a wooden horse and outwitted and blinded Polyphemus, the cyclops.
