This delicate image of the celebrated Impressionist artist Berthe Morisot is difficult to place in the timeline of Auguste Renoir's prints. Created around 1892, it was printed in various limited editions before its formal publication in Duret's 1924 catalogue. Due to its sharp, clear lines and the use of a delicate laid paper, we believe this is not from the first printing and that it precedes the catalogue.
