Novelist, artist, typographer, printer, collector, and publisher Pierre-Andre Benoit (who frequently signed as PAB) collaborated with Jean Dubuffet to create this livres d'artiste, "Oreilles Gardees", with Dubuffet creating 13 abstract drawings in india ink that Benoit then reproduced lithographically. These would accompany Benoit's writings, which he stamped in a typeface designed and carved by himself from rubber.
Benoit also collaborated with Alechinsky, Braque, Duchamp, Miro, Picabia, and Micasso, among others, to create art books.
This book shows usual wear to the corners and spine, as well as some minor stains to the cover and occasionally within the signatures. It is an otherwise very good copy with sturdy binding. The price reflects the condition.
