Description
John Taylor Arms’ etching and aquatint, Crystal and Jade, is an homage to the French etcher Jules-Ferdinand Jacquemart (1837-1880). Jacquemart was a master of line, shape, volume, solidity, and translucency. Arms still life, Crystal and Jade, was his attempt to distill these very characteristics into his work.
