Description
Thus far, we have found no concrete information on a printmaker from the 1920s going by the name Caroline Briggs. This appears to be a working proof, and though it seems to have been rejected by the artist, the works displays clear talent and an understanding of the complexities of intaglio printmaking.
There is always the possibility that this artist has work that's readily available to view in galleries and musems but is signed with her married name. It would not be the first time a woman artist's early work went by the wayside due to that change.
