In a visual twist, sixteen of the German Surrealist's exhibition posters from throughout the 1960s have been reproduced in miniature for one large exhibition poster, complete with the titles and the address lines for postcards printed on the verso - giving the viewer the option to keep it as is, or cut out the cards and mail them. The title for the exhibition translates from the German to "Postcards from yesterday, today, and the day before yesterday - for you tomorrow and the day after".
A lifelong interest with graphic art, poster design, and paper ephemera began with his first job, as a factory worker at the fine paper manufacturer, Aschaffenburger Buntpapierfabrik. Befriending the owner Guido Dessauer, he would later be invited to use the factory's equipment to create his first lithographs.
