Description
Poet Sidney 'Cid' Corman was born in Boston in 1924. He was the author of over 20 poetry collections, including Clocked Stone (1959), For Now (1971), and Tabernacle (1980). He also founded Origin, an American poetry magazine that published writers like Charles Olsen, Robert Creeley, and Gary Snyder. He was one of the first poets to broadcast his readings on the radio, with a spot on WMEX in Boston from 1949 to 1951. He taught in Italy and Japan, the latter of which allowed him to meet the artist Hietaka Ohno, with whom he collaborated on this book. Cid Corman died in 2004.
