Description
Avati took the ordinary, a bunch of radishes, a loaf of bread, a vase, or errant cherries, and made it magical. The "still life" becomes anything but "still" as objects float, bounce, or hang in suspension. The ordinary becomes surreal and playful. Avati was a brilliant colorist who understood the power of color and how less is sometimes more. His imagery is delightful, elegant, and quietly stunning.
