Description
Zena Kavin was definitely influenced by Surrealism. In her lithographs, two-headed birds are dressed as dancers, an osprey dressed as a Harlequin catches a fish with it wooden wand, birds in costumes celebrate in dance, creatures play musical instruments, and a bird crosses a street via a tightrope. In this lithograph, is this rooster foregoing his traditional mating dance, mount, and tread for the more genteel romance associated with a single rose?
